F&M TRUST
This 1,800 square foot branch bank was designed to modernize the F&M Trust identity. The form of the building reflects the new way of banking that users will experience inside, and though this branch has a small footprint, it has a strong presence on the site. Exterior finishes such as fiber cement panels and wood accents make the building stand out against a more traditional surrounding context. On the interior, wood tones define the customer areas and guide users to the teller station.
KAHN LOBBY
Originally designed by Louis Kahn in 1966 as a factory, this building has been home to several companies. As needs changed, the main 4,000 square foot lobby was due for a refresh. The existing structure had it's own character, so by exposing the plenum and adding subtle wood and stone accents, we were able to enhance the space. LiveWall planters were installed on two accent walls. The result is a welcoming space that reflects the grandeur of the entire building.
897 POPLAR CHURCH ROAD
While the underlying building form of this previous medical office had the potential to be architecturally eye-catching, the façade was in need of a major renovation. The outdated exterior finish was replaced with contemporary materials that serve to further enhance the unique structure beneath. Concrete-look & metal cladding ground the building; warm wood accents invite users in.
